[초록]

The writing workshop is characterized by collaborative writing among learners, their learning of writing principles through a teacher's explanation and demonstration, publication, and mutual feedback among learners. This study emphasizesthat the writing workshop should be operated through practical writing, through interaction between an individual and his or her writing community, in the dimension of integration between writing and reading, and with a principle of interdependent integration of processes and results. Accordingly, this study suggestsa teaching-learning model based on process-centered, result-centered, and genre-centered writing on the basis of the writing workshop in order to devise measures to educate how to efficiently write a self-statement by foreign learners. Accordingly, this study presents four steps of a teaching-learning process-acomposition and conceptualization step, a preparation step, a structuralization and performance step, and an evaluation step–and characteristics of each step and teaching-learning activities by each step. Foreign learners' integral language functions of speaking, listening, reading, and writing may be improved and efficient writing of a self-statement by them may be achieved through the writing processes.
