[초록]

연구 방법: 선행연구 및 대학별 홈페이지 검토를 통해 외국인 유학생의 취업을 위한 정부 및 대학의 노력을 확인하고, 대학에서 운영하고 있는 비교과 프로그램 현황 등을 살펴볼 것이다. 연구 내용: 본 연구는 외국인 유학생이 국내 대학을 졸업한 후의 진로 영역 중 취업에 대해 살펴보았다. 정부 및 대학에서는 외국인 유학생들의 취업을 위해서 채용 박람회, 홈페이지 정보 제공 등의 지원을 하고 있으나, 그 효과는 미비하므로 외국인 유학생 취업률 제고를 위한 노력이 필요하다. 결론 및 제언: 외국인 유학생의 취업을 지원하기 위해서 대학은 전공 및 교양에서 충족하지 못하는 영역을 다양한 형태의 활동을 통해 지원할 수 있는 취업 지원 비교과 프로그램을 개발･운영해야 한다. 이때에는 다음과 같은 내용이 뒷받침되어야 한다. 첫째, 외국인 유학생 맞춤형 취업 로드맵이 필요하다. 둘째, 프로그램은 체계적인 프로그램으로 구성되어야 한다. 셋째, 일회성 프로그램을 지양하고, 지속적이고 연속성 있는 프로그램을 지향해야 한다. 이렇게 개발된 비교과 프로그램은 한국어 및 취업 역량 기반의 프로그램이어야 한다.

Through prior research and a review of the website of each university, we will confirm the efforts of the government and universities for the employment of international students, and examine the current status of extra-curricular programs operated by universities.

This study examined employment among the career areas after international students graduated from domestic universities. The government and universities provide support for international students' employment such as job fairs and website information, but the effect is insufficient, so efforts to improve the employment rate of international students are needed.

In order to support the employment of international students, universities should develop and operate employment support extra-curricular programs that can support areas that cannot be met in their majors and liberal arts through various types of activities. In this case, the following should be supported. First, a customized employment road-map for international students is needed. Second, the program should be organized into a systematic program. Third, one-time programs should be avoided and continuous programs should be aimed at. The extra-curricular program developed in this way should be a program based on Korean language and employment competency.
