[논문 초록]
본 연구는 재한 중국인 유학생이 경험한 사회적 지지경험과 그 의미를 이해하려는 목적으로, 인간 개인의 경험을 심층적으로 이해할 수 있는 내러티브 탐구 방법을 활용하였다. 연구 참여자의 경험은 이야기형식을 통해 분석하고 해석하여 그 의미를 구성하였으며, 참여자의 경험이야기는 시간성, 사회성, 장소의 맥락으로 이루어진 삼차원적 공간에서 탐구하였다. 연구결과, 재한 중국인 유학생 연구 참여자는 한국인들과의 관계에서 기독교신앙인의 조건 없는 사랑, 인간적인 친절, 잘하는 것에 대한 인정, 자신의 감정을 자유롭게 표현하도록 존중해주는 등의 사회적 지지를 통하여 자신이 가치 있는 존재로 존중받는 경험을 할 수 있었다. 또한 연구 참여자의 한국인에 대한 긍정적 기대와 한국어 능력은 그녀가 한국인들과 의 관계에서 사회적 지지를 경험하는데 긍정적으로 작용하였다. 본 내러티브 탐구를 통한 재한 중국인 유학생의 사회적 지지경험에 대한 이해가 재한 중국인 유학생들의 한국 사회에서의 적응을 돕는 기초자료 로 활용되기를 기대한다.
This study aims to understand the experience of the social support that a Chinese student perceived f rom Korean Society and the meaning of that experience through t he narrative inquiry method. The narrative inquiry method is used to fathom the depth of individual/personal experiences. The experiences of the participant have been analyzed an d inte rpreted to constitute the meanings in a way of the story. The stories of what the participant has experienced have been deeply explored in multi dimensions of temporal, spatial and social context. As a result it shows that this Chinese participant became able to perceived him/herself as worthy and deserved by receiving t he social supports that Koreans provided inclu ding t he unconditional loving ca re, the sincere kindness, the respect and acknowledgement of what he/she achieved and the freedom to express his/her own feelings, which are of their Christian(religious) values. And also the positive expectation of Koreans and competency of Korean language are the affirmative factors that make him/her be able to get the social support from Korean Society. It is expected that this narrative on the social supports which a Chinese participant experienced in Korean Society will be used as a primary resource to help the Chinese students to acclimate themselves into Korean Society.
